This water-based serum isn't all that moisturizing or all that concentrated. It contains glycerin, a classic skin-repairing ingredient, along with water-binding agents and a film-forming agent, which can make the skin feel tighter, sort of like when a clay mask dries.

Skin-smoothing hydration is about the only thing this fragranced serum has to offer; despite the scientific-sounding claims, this won't do much to train the skin to generate the moisture it needs to protect its surface. If it could work in this manner, you'd only have to use it once, maybe twice, and then your skin would know what to do … but that's not what happens. As with any serum or moisturizer for dry skin, ongoing use is needed or the skin tends to go back to the way it was before you began using the product.
